Our client, Design Shanghai is a new initiative from the Group in China. It will provide services to the Group Consumer Lifestyle, HealthCare and Lighting in the area of People Research, Trend analysis, Identity Design, Product Design, User Interface Design and Communication Design. It works highly collaborative with all other locations across the globe to drive the Group brand towards our Brand promise; Sense & Simplicity.
Position 2: Senior Designer Communication Design Shanghai Branch ( code:20118814304)
Job Summary
Develops design ideas from basic concepts through to fully worked out communication design solutions. Works, with a high level of independence, according to the briefing and creative vision and direction in close co-operation with the other members of the design team and the art director / creative director. Follows the development of the design through to production. Must have the ability to work within tight deadlines and demonstrate a high degree of flexibility.
You will report to
the Creative Director Communication Design CL (to be defined)
You?re activities will be
-designing and realizing communication design solutions, on basis of the agreed upon project brief and on professional orientation, in delegated contact with the business partners and in close consultation with the art director / creative director.
-working within the context of the given The Group Design policy with a high level of independence
-participating in defining the briefing for the projects to be handled by you
-participating together with the design manager / art director in defining budget for the project
-preparing specifications for internal and external services
-briefing, directing and overseeing photography, DTP, illustrators etc. according to the briefing and creative vision and direction.
-preparing and maintaining the relevant documentation
-assuming responsibility for an identifiable portion of the project
You will work for
-The Consumer Lifestyle BG’s Domestic Appliances (household appliances such as blenders, rice cookers, soy bean milk makers, hot pots), Health & Wellness (mother & child care products such as baby bottles, baby monitors, soothers, teethers, etc) and Personal Care (hairdryers, hair stylers, shavers, trimmers, clippers); projects can be driven over multiple locations, cross regions and involving multi -disciplinary resources and competences.
You will work with
-an internal team of Design Managers & Project Managers to balance all delivery in terms of quality, time & money.
-designers within your area
-specialists within and outside The Group Design
-business partners like Consumer Marketing Management
You have
-Masters / Bachelors degree in Graphic Design
-minimum of 4+ years experience
-a senior level of necessary professional skills, including computer skills
-a strong professional ambition
-knowledge of the The Group CL’sBrand identity
-strong interpersonal and communication skills
-a good business command of the English language
-strong business awareness
-basic consultancy skills
