Art Director, Digital Visulization- Communication Design-Hong Kong Branch

 

 

 

Your responsibilities (Job scope)

 

The Art Director/Digital Visualization is responsible to visualize abstract concept ideas into powerful digital visuals or prototypes of our products for packaging, point of sale, product literature and other marketing driven communication design activities. He / she works according to the brief and creative vision and direction, in close co-operation with the other members of the design team and the Senior Art Director/Creative Director. He/She is able to use appropriate and effective digital animation & rendering skills and the most effective technology hardware / software tools & methods to visualize. Must have the ability to work within tight deadlines and demonstrate a high degree of flexibility.

         Translates marketing communication strategies and visualize abstract concept ideas into powerful digital visuals or prototypes.

         Build and manage a visual language  together with other creative team member based on the creative direction.

         Able to understand & use a brand identity and translate into projects.

         Identify technology opportunities and constraints. Implement the most effective approaches for speed vs. quality, through the right choice of visualizing & rendering software tools.

         Regular review the competitor field and market dynamics.

         Briefs, directs and oversees quality of the deliverables from the external suppliers.

         Prepares specifications for internal and external services.

         Presents / explains concepts and designs to the business, together with the Creative team.

         Review concepts and designs with the Senior Art Director and Creative director,  based on the briefing and the vision / direction.

 

Your Profile

 

         Masters / Bachelors degree in Communication / Graphic Design specialise in illustration or rendering or relevant design area.

         6-10 years experience.

         Relevant and identifiable experience in the areas of digital visualization, 3D rendering, special effect creation and retouching.

         Understand the development of marketing communication strategies.

         Affinity with mass merchandising & consumer products and/or professional products.

         Good interpersonal and communication skills (at all levels in the organization).

         Analytical, commercial and client-focused.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Experience working in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment.

·         Software skills: 3D Applications for modelling e.g. Rhino/SketchUp/3D Studio Max. Extensive Adobe experience. Creative Suite 4 or newer, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat. Able to use Microsoft Powerpoint for presentation.

  • Creating effective and appropriate visual languages through a detailed understanding of the meaning and effect of these on the brand, audience, market and culture;
  • Developing identity systems;

- Visual structure

  • Creating effective reading paths and information structures across media which achieve the communication goal with the audience;

 

 

 

Digital animation and rendering skills

You should be able to use appropriate and effective digital animation & rendering skills and the most effective technology hardware / software tools & methods to visualize.:

- Digital Visualization

Visualize abstract concept ideas into powerful digital visuals or prototypes.

- Technical (Hardware / Software)

  • Identify technology opportunities and constraints. Implement the most effective approaches for speed vs. quality, through the right choice of visualizing & rendering software tools.

 

Communicating & influencing skills

You should be able to use the following communicating & influencing skills to build relationships with teams and key decision-makers and to achieve the best solutions:

  • Communicating ideas clearly and persuasively at an individual and group level, mainly to your direct team members and suppliers;
  • Demonstrating awareness of the right communication style and influencing tools;
